2010-2011 IN REVIEW
The Panther Creek Fine Arts Booster Club had an outstanding year!!!
Many thanks go out to so many who have toiled countless hours in a labor of love for the Arts and for our FABulous Students. Here are some of the highlights of the 2010 - 2011 School Year:
- We have a brand new logo, designed by Mr. Kasapidis
- We completely re-worked and re-published our website
- We instituted Membership Fees and quadrupled membership over last year
- We had 2 "free" car washes and received great donations
- We pioneered the wonderful world of "Flamingo Flocking" and lived through the madness!!! What a fun and wonderful FUNdraiser
- We took 50 students and chaperones on an AMAZING trip to New York City where we participated in 2 Dance and Theater Workshops, saw the Tony Award Winning Memphis, went to the Empire State Building at dusk, had a backstage tour of Radio City Music Hall, ate in a real NY Deli and Planet Hollywood, Rockefeller Plaza; Times Square; a ride on the Subway; Central Park; and we Shopped till we dropped on 5th Avenue and Canal Street!!!
- Our Students put on numerous Dance Recitals
- We worked with Mills Park Middle School Booster Club to help them launch their program, welcomed them as a group of 100 plus students as they supported our shows, and were lucky enough to have 4 Mills Park Middle School students participate in The Sound of Music as Von Trapp Children
- Our Students put on Romeo and Juliet in the Fall
- Our Students put on The Sound of Music in the Spring before 2 nights straight sold out crowds. "Rolf" played by Dan Truhitte from the Original Award Winning Screenplay Sound of Music was in attendance, put on a fabulous show of Las Vegas quality followed by a very informative workshop for our students
- We produced an impressive PlayBill for our Spring Musical with over 50 pages of Advertisements; Biographies; and Words of Encouragement for our FABulous Students
- We had our very first... very successful Raffle at TheSound of Music
