PCHS Fine Arts Boosters

Our Purpose


a. To support the faculty of PCHS Fine Arts Departments consisting of Visual Arts, Theatre, and Dance
and their programs. Chorus and Band are supported by separate booster organizations.
b. To promote and encourage a cooperative relationship among the administration, faculty, parents,
students, and the local community in the Visual Arts, Theatre, and Dance programs at PCHS.
c. To provide volunteers and financial support to the PCHS Visual Arts, Theatre, and Dance programs.

Twelve Angry Jurors

Thursday, Feb 18 at 7pm and Saturday, Feb 20 at 2pm and 7pm.

The original teleplay, Twelve Angry Men by Reginald Rose, has been adapted for for a mixed cast of men and women by Sherman L. Sergel. The 1957 film version starred Henry Fonda.

In Sergel’s 1960 stage play, based on the 1954 Rose teleplay, twelve jurors must decide the fate of a young man accused of murder. It seems like an “open and shut” case until one juror stands up for our American judicial system and insists that personal emotions and fear must not influence this life or death decision. Will he succeed, or is the evidence against the accused – and the jury’s bias against him - too strong? This play,one of the most often-produced in North America in its various versions, is as relevant today as it was 50 years ago.

All performances take place at Panther Creek High School at 6770 McCrimmon Parkway, Cary, NC.   Tickets can be purchased in advance for $5.00 online by clicking on the SeatYourself link or at the door for $7.00.

  • Congratulations to all 46 students who participated in the PTSA Reflections contest.  Twelve students are moving on to the Wake County level of the competition.  They are:
    • Dance Choreography: McKenna Czap
    • Literature: Megan Gatts, Rachel Krauza, Shannon McKerlie, and Sruti Pishanody
    • Music Composition: Myles Travitz
    • Photography: Rachel Krauza and Christy Soeder
    • Visual Arts: Jenny Liao, Yan Mak, Nicole Ortega, and Zakiya Toney

  • Our Membership Letter and Membership Form for the 2009-10 school year are available.  We will have them at our table at parents' night in September.  They will also be available through the Dance, Theatre, and Visual Arts teachers at school.

  • Spring Trip - Organizing our annual trip to places such as NYC, Chicago, or Washington DC.
  • Fund Raising - Finding and organizing activities that will raise funds for the organization.
  • Sponsorship - Finding local businesses to support us with money or discounts.
  • Scholarship - Developing criteria for an annual scholarship to graduating senior(s).
  • Spring Musical - Assisting in matters related to the production.
  • Visual Arts - Interface for Visual Arts activities and support.
  • Dance - Interface for Dance activities and support.
  • Theatre - (Beth Gatts) Interface for Theatre activities and support.
  • Choral Booster Liaison - Interfaces with the PCHS Choral Boosters to ensure we know what each other is doing.
  • Band Booster Liaison - Interfaces with the PCHS Band Boosters to ensure we know what each other is doing.
  • PTSA Liaison - (Ann Miller) - Interfacing with the PCHS PTSA to ensure we know what each other is doing.
  • Membership (Chair: Claudia Czap) - Focused on increasing our membership.
  • Web Site (Chair: Beth Gatts) - Maintaining these web pages.

Send completed PCHS FAB Membership Forms to your child's Dance or Visual Arts teacher or Mr. Cox (the Theatre teacher).
